Japan's Top Court Confirms Transgender Man As Father

Japan’s Supreme Court has upheld the petition of a transgender man to be recorded on the official family registry as the father of a boy born to his wife after the use of semen from a donor.

The bench, whose presiding justice was Takehiko Otani, concluded that the rule applied to the case of the man’s family.
